The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) offers a variety of training and workshop programs for its staff, including: Orientation courses: A three-day course Induction courses: A seven to ten-day course for new recruits In-service courses: A 21 to 22-day course Refresher courses: A three to five-day course Workshops: A one to five-day course Teacher training programs: Regular programs to improve teaching methodologies, subject knowledge, and pedagogical skills Seminars: Discussions on topics like assessment techniques, curriculum development, and classroom management Specialized training sessions: For teachers based on their needs or subject areas KVS also encourages teachers to participate in workshops, courses, and modules designed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). KVS employees who attend training programs for 10 or more days during breaks or vacations are eligible for earned leave. Employees who attend training on holidays or for fewer than 10 days during breaks or vacations are eligible for compensatory casual leave (CCL).
